Our Project:
In the rapidly evolving automotive industry, electric vehicles (EVs) are fast becoming the norm. With this surge in popularity, there's a rising need for dependable charging solutions that can operate unfailingly in all weather conditions.
Responding to this need, our client approached us with an exciting challenge - to design an IP67 rated EV charging gun, a charging solution that ensures robust performance rain or shine.
Our Approach:
Our innovative solution was grounded in a clear principle - minimization of water entry points, essential for achieving the stringent IP67 water resistance rating. Unlike traditional designs that rely on multiple parts held together with screws, we adopted a different approach.
We designed the charging gun enclosure as a single, seamless plastic structure. This effectively limited potential water entry points to just the front and rear. These areas were then safeguarded using robust rubber seals, ensuring outstanding ingress protection.
The Standard:
Our single-enclosure design isn't just a clever workaround; it's a pioneering step that distinguishes our EV charging gun from the rest in the market.
To attest to the robustness of our product, it has been rigorously tested and earned an IP67 rating from TÜV China, an internationally recognized testing and certification organization.
